The kill scripts doesn't allow the Applications to cleanup after themselves.

      Check, that the NAS apps now will to try to cleanup during shutdown.
      Previously, the cleanup code was never called, as we didn't give them opportunity (with kill -9) to do so.

      Verify that all apps are shutdown when the kill-scripts are called.
      It should be enough to check the outcome on one or two machines.

    Description

      Currently, the netarchivesuite apps on Linux are shutdown with a kill -9 command.
      This doesn't allow the apps to cleanup after themselves.

      I suggest first making a soft-kill (wait 2 seconds), and then, if the process is still alive then use a kill -9.
