 Description

Create a script to enable users to change the queue budget.

  • view changed queue budgets
  • and give the possibilty to change them again.

Question: is this of interest for institutions using bytes and quotaEnforcer for limiting the crawls?

To test this feature:
1) Run a job.
2) Pause it after it ran for a few minutes.
3) Go to the H3 Remote Access menu, click on "Job XXX", click on "Modify Budget" in the "Queue actions" section.
4) Check the top statement regarding your budget configuration. It contains either queue-total-budget and the number of URIs, or quotaEnforcer and the numer of bytes, that were defined in the harvest template and in domain configurations. (e.g. Budget defined in job configuration: queue-total-budget of 150 URIs.)
5) Add two queue names (e.g. bnf.fr or gallica.bnf.fr) depending on your queue configuration and insert a lower or a bigger number of URLs (for queue-total-budget) or of bytes (for quotaEnforcer).
6) Insert your initials before clicking on "Add".
7) Unpause the job.
8) Check in the FrontierSummary that the new budget has been taken into account.
9) Delete one the two queues.
