Switch to use foreign key based ID's in database

The ID relations in the database are just normal strings/int, whivch means the database can't understand or enforce the consistency of these relations.

We should therefore switch to use fk ID relations in the DB.

Note that as part of these work we should also consider introducing fk constraints in the db schemes.
